About the event
Students aged 16-20 will build community, learn about Texas government, and collaborate in committee groups. They’ll use ranked choice to select bills to recommend to committees. On the second day, students will try to reach consensus on their recommendations, which they’ll present at the Capitol. They’ll also meet local leaders and legislators. The goal is to strengthen relationships, understand diverse beliefs, and practice finding middle ground.
