Voucher showdown on Wednesday!

We're hearing the voucher bill will be debated on Wednesday on the House floor. It'll probably start late afternoon, after the funding bill.

THIS IS THE TIME TO SHOW OUR POWER! Please plan on coming down to the Capitol as soon as you are off school/work/responsibilities.

We want to fill up every corner of the gallery and rotunda, and up into higher floors, if we have enough people. It doesn't matter if it's 3pm or 7pm - this debate will go long into the night and we need every single body there, filling up the Capitol to show them we're paying attention and there are more of us than billionaires.

Bring your family and friends. It'll be peaceful and joyful, regardless of the debate and outcome. You can bring signs (not into the gallery but everywhere else) but they can not be on sticks. No sticks. Everything else is fine.

As always, keep a watch for shenanigans. We'll let you know if this changes.

ALSO - there is a rally and march being planned at noon on Wednesday with the Pastors for Texas Children leading the same group of advocacy organizations as have been organizing the Save Texas Schools rally. If you have the flexibility to join us at noon, please put that on your calendar. I'll share more details as I get them.
